Hopkins Vikings Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Hopkins Vikings Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-2 loss to Kenowa Hills on Saturday. Kenowa Hills scored on a single by Ringler in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Kenowa Hills pitchers struck out nine, while Hopkins Vikings Varsity sat down four.
In the first inning, Kenowa Hills got their offense started. Ringler drove in one when he singled.
Ezran Tehennepe got the start for Hopkins Vikings Varsity. He allowed seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four.
Tyler Zomerlei went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hopkins Vikings Varsity in hits.
Kenowa Hills had seven hits in the game. Ringler and Prindle all had multiple hits for Kenowa Hills. Kenowa Hills didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ringler had the most chances in the field with eight.
